"I genuinely feel, if we can get our players back and have our full quota of players, I wouldn't be looking to do anything. We would like to be able to react to the injuries that we've got to key players. But that said, I'm not sure that's going to be the case."

Those were the words of Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes as clubs across the land headed into the final few days of the winter transfer window.

The manager was as good as his word, as Tom Wilson-Brown was the only addition on deadline day. The inexperienced 20-year-old defender joined on loan from Leicester City in the final hours.

He joins Calvin Ramsay as Kilmarnock’s two new recruits from the window. They replaced the squad spaces vacated by both Oliver Bainbridge and Jack Burroughs, who were recalled from their loans by Sunderland and Coventry City, respectively.

The main question on every Killie fan’s lips at the moment, especially given there is no game this weekend, is: Is the team stronger than it was heading into January ?
