Kilmarnock took a big step toward securing Premiership safety with a 2-0 win over Ross County at Rugby Park.
A back post header from Bruce Anderson put Derek McInnes’ side ahead at the break after a scrappy first 45, and the hosts pressed home their advantage in the second.
Liam Donnelly grabbed the second with a composed touch and finish to pull Killie nine points clear of the bottom of the table.

Ross County would clearly have been happy to take a point - or a later winner on the break like last time out at Rugby Park, setting up in a 3-5-2/5-3-2 with three holding midfielders.
While the Killie formation looked a 4-4-2 on paper, as against Motherwell it was Fraser Murray who joined Bruce Anderson in pressing with Bobby Wales playing off the left in what was more of a 4-2-3-1 out of possession
