Every word from Derek McInnes after draw against Dundee
The Kilmarnock manager was pleased with the response from his side but branded refereeing decisions "outrageous".
Derek McInnes was disappointed not to take three points as Kilmarnock fought back from behind against Dundee.
The Rugby Park boss admitted his side were off the boil in the early knockings but reckons they created enough to win the match as he bemoaned missed chances.
There was high praise for Bobby Wales’ stunning equaliser but McInnes was less impressed by referee Ross Hardie’s display.
The whistler overlooked major appeals for a penalty in the final moments after Innes Cameron went down in the box. Earlier in the match, Hardie had initially allowed play to continue with Gary Mackay-Steven and Simon Murray on the ground before halting proceedings as Kyle Vassell charged towards the Dundee goal.
Here is every word of what the manager had to say post-match…
Feel a bit aggrieved it is only one point, Derek?
“Yeah, that’s the feeling in general. It has to be said first half we were slow out of the blocks, for the first 10 or 15 minutes in particular.
“I thought Dundee played the game the way it should’ve been played. We looked a wee bit unsure of ourselves in that early period but we came through that.
“Bruce Anderson had a great chance with a header and we had some good moments.
“We spoke at half-time about why we set up that way with the three strikers. Dundee at times played quite deep with their back three and we wanted to try and find that space in between in wider areas.
“Once we started to engage with Gary Mackay-Steven and Fraser Murray a bit more, we managed to get a lot of good opportunities.
