FC Copenhagen 'booed off' after disappointing draw ahead of Killie tie
Experienced midfielder Rasmus Falk admits he and his teammates are not in the best shape heading into the Europa Conference League play-off/
FC Copenhagen were reportedly booed off the park on Sunday evening following their stuttering performance in a 1-1 at home to Viborg.
It follows on just days after Jacob Neestrup’s side just scrapped past Czech side Banik Ostrava on penalties to reach the Europa Conference League play-off, where they will meet Kilmarnock.
Derek McInnes’ side travel to the Danish capital this Wednesday as they prepare for what is one of the biggest matches in their modern history on Thursday night at Parken Stadium.
The manager himself insists there is a £5m bounty on the tie, with the prize of league-phase football in the competition on the line over the two legs.
Copenhagen famously defeated Manchester United during their participation in last season’s Champions League. They also earned an admirable 0-0 draw at the Allianz Arena when up against Bayern Munich, and were eventually eliminated by the then champions of Europe Manchester City in the last-16.
They do sit second in the Superliga after five games, however, critics insist they look a shadow of last season’s team.
And their highly experienced midfielder, Rasmus Falk, admits they’re not in the best state heading into the play-off with Killie.
