Two goals from substitute David Watson turned an entertaining match at Rugby Park on its head, but a late penalty for Dundee United means the wait for a first domestic win of the season goes on.

Jim Goodwin’s side took the lead in the first half, Luca Stephenson’s cutback finding Louis Moult six yards out and the striker made no mistake as he turned the ball home for the opener.

Watson, on as a half-time substitute levelled things up barely two minutes after coming on though, meeting a deep back post cross with a stunning overhead kick which soared into the far corner.

The Scotland Under-19 international poked home a second just before the hour mark, with Marley Watkins bundling in a third when Robbie Deas’ header came back off the bar.
