It took a while, but Kilmarnock officially confirmed their first signing of the season this week - with a Doctor Who clip, no less - in the form of Jamie Brandon.
The former Livingston captain has signed a two-year deal at Rugby Park, having helped his former side to promotion and a Challenge Cup victory.
Given Brandon’s last act at Premiership level was being relegated in a poor Livi team, many Killie fans won’t be too familiar with his style.

With Livingston playing almost exclusively a 4-3-3 last season, Brandon was deployed either as a defensive midfielder or a right-back.
In the former role he operated primarily as a destroyer, breaking up play in the middle of the park.
