Should Kilmarnock want to see Ayr United promoted to the Scottish Premiership next season assuming their top-flight status is preserved?

With 12 games to go, Scott Brown’s side sit second on 48 points - just two behind league leaders Falkirk.

It appears to be a three-horse race for the title as things stand, with Livingston just two points further back than Ayr.

If nothing else, for those who take a general interest in the Scottish game, it promises to be an entertaining last few months in the second tier, with a proper title race where no team can be regarded as firm favourites unlike in most previous years.
